Simple, trustworthy proof for everyone
TruthSeal helps people verify that a photo, video, or document is the same as it was at the time of sealing. We use cryptographic hashes, UTC timestamps, and QR verification so truth is easy to prove—without needing a technical expert.
What TruthSeal does
- Seals integrity: We generate a SHA-256 hash (a unique fingerprint) and record the exact UTC time, your IP and user-agent for chain-of-custody context.
- Creates a QR proof: Each seal has a public verification link and QR so anyone can check integrity later.
- Separates dust vs. tampering: Minor scan noise or re-save shows as “Minor change”; meaningful edits (amounts, names, signatures, stamps) show as “Altered”.
- Works online and offline: Our verification page checks the seal; offline checks can compare the file’s hash with the seal record.
What TruthSeal is not
- Not a legal verdict: We provide integrity evidence and clear signals. Final legal conclusions belong to the relevant authority or court.
- Not content approval: A successful verification means the file matches its sealed state; it does not judge accuracy of the content itself.
How it works (short)
Sealing
- Upload a file (PDF/JPG/PNG).
- We normalize, hash, and timestamp in UTC.
- You get a share page and QR for later verification.
Verification
- Scan the QR or open the verify link.
- Optionally upload a presented copy to compare.
- See a clear result: Original, Minor change, or Altered.
Time is recorded in UTC for global consistency. For critical fields (e.g., amount, name, date, signature, stamp), even small changes are treated as material.
Privacy & security
- Minimal data by default: We keep the hash and basic metadata. Your original file stays with you unless you opt-in to encrypted storage.
- Secure session & HTTPS: We enforce HTTPS and secure cookies. Time is kept in UTC to match world clock standards.
- Clear retention: We keep logs needed to verify integrity and operate the service. See our Privacy Policy for details.
Responsible use
- Use TruthSeal to preserve integrity, not to mislead. If you modify a file, create a new seal.
- Do not upload illegal content or content you do not have the right to share.
- When in doubt, involve a qualified professional (e.g., legal counsel, digital forensics) alongside your TruthSeal report.
Plans & access
- Free trial: First 3 months free from first login via Google.
